Important: You must confirm you’re registered for the in-person conference before booking. All bookings are reviewed by our admin team to verify registration, and your appointment is only confirmed once verification is complete. A maximum of one (1) Lipedema assessment, and one (1) compression appointment per person. Bookings must be under your own name — duplicates and bookings in other names won’t be honoured. First come, first served. Arrive 15 minutes early; late arrivals forfeit their slot.

Lipedema Assessment

Fifty eight (58) appointment spaces are available for patients who wish to be assessed for lipedema with a formal diagnosis from the world experts. There is no cost to attend, and conditions apply (see below).
The rules to participate:
- You must be registered to attend the Lipedema Canada Conference in-person to be eligible to participate. Proof of registration is required for bookings to be confirmed.
-Appointments are only official once they have been reviewed by the team and your edibility and registration is verified. Confirmation will be sent via email.
- Only those with a confirmed appointment may attend the clinic on September 10th 2026.
- One booking per person, and the name on the appointment must match your conference registration. Multiple appointments will be declined.
- The doctors that assess you are randomly assigned based on our educational schedule and requests for particular doctors for the assessment cannot be allowed.

Compression Fitting

Book an appointment with some of the most knowledgeable fitters to be measured for compression garments for lipedema.
Whether you are seeking flat-knit medical grade garments or off the shelf round-knit our team of fitters offers many brand options based on your needs.
What you need in order to participate:
- Valid prescription for compression garments (note those attending Doctor is in, can receive
their prescription from the doctors following your assessment if required).
- Must be registered for the Lipedema Canada Conference and attending in-person
What to expect:
• Measuring for either flat-knit, or round-knit custom made garments, which will be made to measure and shipped to you.
• Off-the-shelf compression options will be available for purchase as well. Ask you fitter for details.
• Compression garment pricing is set by the fitter companies and may vary between brands and companies.
• There is no additional fee for the appointment
• Compression cost is charged at the time of ordering and paid directly to the fitter company separate from Lipedema Canada and the conference organizers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fee to book an appointment?
No. The lipedema assessment is free, and conditions apply. You must be registered for the conference at the time you book your appointment, and you must hold a confirmed appointment in order to attend.
Do I need to be registered for the conference in order to attend?
Yes.
When you submit a booking request, the Lipedema Canada team will verify that you are registered to attend in-person in our records before confirming your appointment. If you are not registered, or if your name is spelled differently than it appears on our registration, your appointment will be declined. Because demand for these appointments is very high, it is unlikely you will be able to book another if your first request is declined.
Please follow these instructions carefully so that nothing stands between you and your appointment.
When are compression fittings appointments available?
On June 20th at 8am CDT appointments will open for all registered delegates.
Appointments are available each day of the conference September 10-12. You must be registered for the conference to book an appointment.
I have already been diagnosed with lipedema. Can I still book an appointment?
Yes. We will not refuse anyone. That said, bookings are very limited, and we ask you to consider leaving a space for someone who has not yet been diagnosed and may have no other route to a diagnosis. The decision rests with you.
If I am determined to have lipedema, will I receive a formal letter of diagnosis?
Yes. If you are assessed and determined to have lipedema by the team of doctors, you will receive a formal letter of diagnosis, as well as a general letter to take to your healthcare provider at home.
Can I choose which doctor or doctors assess me?
No. The team assigned to your bay at your appointment time will perform your assessment. We understand many people have a preferred expert they hope to meet, and you will have the chance to meet all of our visiting doctors throughout the conference. We are not able to accommodate bookings for specific doctors at this time.
Can I book more than one appointment for friends or family coming with me?
No. Each appointment must be booked by the individual who holds the conference registration. If multiple bookings are made under the same name, they will be declined.
What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?
Your confirmation email will include your patient intake questionnaire. You must complete this document and bring it with you to the clinic on paper. You will hand it to the triage nurse when you check in, and the doctors will use it during your assessment. It will be returned to you afterward. Lipedema Canada does not maintain patient records or hold patient data.
I was not able to get an appointment. Is there a waitlist for cancellations?
Yes. You can add your name to the cancellation waitlist using the form above. Spaces are released on a first-come, first-served basis as cancellations become available, and the next person on the list is emailed the opportunity to take the appointment.
My plans have changed and I need to cancel. What do I do?
Once you hold a confirmed booking, a cancellation link is included in your confirmation email. If you need to cancel, please do so promptly so that we can open your space to someone on our waitlist.
