About Dr. Kaitlin Cyr
Dr. Kaitlin Cyr is a Winnipeg-based physician, originally from Dauphin, Manitoba. In her family practice, she focuses on obesity and lipedema management, treating a high volume of patients and building deep clinical expertise in conditions that are too often overlooked or misdiagnosed.
As Medical Director Co-Chair of Lipedema Canada, Dr. Cyr uses her clinical compassion to dismantle systemic failures in care, keeping evidence-based treatment and medical advocacy at the centre of the organization’s mission. Alongside a dynamic team, she has helped shape the vision behind the first Lipedema Canada Conference, a milestone gathering dedicated to advancing recognition, research, and standards of care for lipedema across the country.
