About Dr. Apostolos Siafliakis
Dr. Apostolos Siafliakis is a double board-certified plastic surgeon and one of Europe’s most experienced specialists in lipedema surgery and mega liposuction. He is the founder and scientific director of Esea Clinic in Thessaloniki, founder and chief surgeon of the International Lipedema Surgical Center, scientific coordinator of the Young Aesthetics plastic surgery institute in Hanover, Germany, and a scientific associate of the 2nd Propaedeutic Department of Surgery at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
After completing his medical studies in Greece in 2009, he trained in surgery at Bochum University Hospital and went on to specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery across leading European clinics in Munich, Brussels, Paris, Prague, and beyond. He completed his specialty training at Braunschweig Hospital’s Plastic Surgery Centre in 2018, where he served as a consultant in microsurgery, liposculpture, and post-bariatric surgery.
In 2019 he joined Lipocura, helping to develop and refine techniques for safe mega liposuction and body sculpting. With thousands of surgeries to his name, he co-authored the world’s most extensive reference study on mega liposuction, covering more than 2,000 cases (2023). After more than a decade in Germany, he returned to Greece in 2023 to open Esea Clinic in Thessaloniki, where he continues to practice today.
