About Thomas Kristof Kedra
Motivated by a familial history of lipedema, Thomas has dedicated years to understanding the condition through independent research and clinical time at the Ernst von Bergmann Hospital in Bad Belzig, Germany. Currently a Bioengineering student at McGill University, he has a deep interest in medical optics with a specific focus on diagnostic applications. Leveraging his technical skill set and knowledge of lipedema, Thomas founded KCD Medical, a medical technology startup focused on developing a novel diagnostic tool for lipedema. Through this innovative technology, he aims to improve patient care by making an accurate, scan-based diagnosis widely accessible.
