About Dr. med. Brigitte Habermalz
Dr. Habermalz is board-certified surgeon with additional designation in lymphology. During her professional training she experienced a deep and thorough education within the field of surgery, including periods in departments of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Neurosurgery at University of Lübeck, General and Trauma Surgery in Bremen and 8 years in the Department of Visceral-, Transplantation- and Vascular surgery at Hospitals of the City of Cologne. She was trained at the Institute for Research in Operative Medicine (IFOM) for two years, with a specialisation in clinical research as certified Principal Investigator. In late 2015, she turned entirely and hence with all her personal and professional powers towards the disease of lipoedema. During this time, she worked at three major clinics for lipoedema treatment in Cologne, Lübeck and at LipoClinic Dr. Heck since 2017, with both PAL and WAL techniques and more than 3,300 conducted liposuctions.
