About Erica Sullivan
Erica Sullivan is a 35-year-old educator, powerlifter, and artist of mixed Indigenous, French, and Irish descent based in Vancouver, BC. Formally diagnosed with Stage 3 Lipedema in 2023, she is a passionate advocate for her mother and sister who are still navigating their diagnostic journeys. As a world traveller who has lived in three countries and visited nearly 50, Erica uses storytelling and laughter as her primary tools for education and resilience. Whether she is lifting heavy in the gym, solo-travelling, or connecting with others through beadwork, she approaches life with a “say yes” attitude and embraces the body and curves she has. While surgery is currently out of reach, Erica is dedicated to sharing her success in non-surgical management, including nutrition, manual lymphatic drainage and vibration therapy. Her goal is to ensure the next generation, including her niece, inherits a world with equitable access to care and a healthcare system that leads with education and curiosity.
